which is rather odd, considering that I am not crazy about winter. In this area the days are still hot, but the breeze has a hint of the coming winter. The nights are cool and crisp and we are due for the first frost.
We do not have the wonderful colors of the Midwest here, once you get away from the city. Landscaping has brought all those colors to our neighborhoods, but the native colors are greens and golds. Sunflowers, wildflowers, aspen trees, cottonwood trees against the backdrop of pines and evergreens.
I love it, too. Today is a very cool, rainy day with a definite feeling of autumn. I love your new layout and header!
ReplyDeleteAutumn is, I'm convinced, the most perfect, awe-inspiring time of the year. Mother Nature at her finest.
ReplyDeleteIt's 73 right now in my little part of the world...so it's not feeling much like fall yet. :)

Autumn is my favorite time of year! Unfortunately down here in South TX, we don't really get to have fall. :( Our temps here are still very much summer temps. Our high today is 94!! Even Halloween here is typically hot...people still in shorts and everything. Oh, how I miss a real autumn! I am hoping we will get new orders and move somewehere with real seasons soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the autumnal makeover for this blog!
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favourite time of the year too! Crunchy leaves, all the colours, that slight crispness in the air....gorgeous! :)
